Cheap Plates UK

The UK covers England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland – unfortunately, there is still not a comprehensive UK system of vehicle registration. However, this very fact has given rise to a varied cheap plates UK market. If you consider the choice customers have at the present time in cheap plates UK nationwide, it has never been better. Years ago, the cheapest marks available came from N. Ireland.

From Enniskillen came the ‘IL’ series:- BIL, DIL, EIL, FIL, GIL, HIL etc. It is easy to see the attraction of such combinations. Similarly, Belfast issued ‘AZ’ numbers e.g.: BAZ, CAZ, DAZ, FAZ, GAZ etc. Apart from a smattering of suffix marks spelling names, Cheap plates UK emanated mainly from N.I.

Then came the “wilderness years” in N.I., in other words, the “PNZ’s” the “OAZ’s” and the “YIL’s” – not particularly attractive. However, the Cheap plates UK market was rescued by the release of attractive series of prefix plates, hitherto un-issued, for example A prefix plus numbers 1-20 followed by three letters. Subsequently, all the un-issued range of prefix marks (except for “F” prefix which is still to come) have, year by year, added to the Cheap plates UK market.

We pride ourselves in trying to achieve a very well run business. To this end we decided that we would try to achieve an award that is recognised by industry throughout Europe. We prepared to try and gain the quality award BSI 9001 2000. Nationla Numbers managed to do this at its first attempt. The Chairman, Eric Craggs, had previously worked as a manager at ICI for 30 years and had been involved in trying to get businesses within ICI to get this award. We have had the award for six years. For the last two years, BSI has required us to conduct a formal customer survey – we are the only company within the DVLA number plate business to do so. Please look at our Testimonials to see what they think. You may think that a lot of web sites just make up their feedback, a lot do, but we are actually audited by a British Standard Quality Expert to verify that our customer comments are genuine.

Cheap Numbers UK

The U.K. consists, as you know, of England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland. However, DVLA Swansea administers the registration system in England, Scotland and Wales while Coleraine is responsible for Northern Ireland. Therefore when talking about cheap numbers UK, both systems need to be included. For many years, N.I. marks were the main source of cheap numbers UK. For example, coach firms used to buy series of marks in order to identify their fleet. The remaining problem with N.I. marks is that they cannot be held on retention certificates and so an actual, often lengthy, transfer from the N.I. vehicle is involved.

Conversely, mainland marks in the Cheap numbers UK market have the great advantage of being transferable within 2/3 days. N.I. marks which have never been on a vehicle are now released on entitlement certificates but the nonsense still exists that, before being assigned to a vehicle on DVLA computer, the mark must be assigned to a vehicle registered in N.I. and then transferred. Although N.I. marks are still the cheapest within the Cheap numbers UK market, they really can’t compete with the prefix marks issued by D.V.L.A. In general, the Cheap numbers UK market has enabled many more people to have fun with cherished marks, it’s not just for the rich!

If this is your first venture into buying a Registration Number then we would like to put your mind at ease. The whole ethos behind our business is customer satisfaction and that’s why we have gone to the trouble and expense of becoming registered to BSI Quality Mark. For this reason, we are not allowed to make up our testimonials, as we have to account to British Standards for their authenticity. We are inspected annually by a BSI inspector and you can be assured that we will put the same care into carrying out your transfer as for all our other thousands of satisfied customers over the last quarter of a century.

Cheap Reg Plates

Cheap reg plates should usually, be regarded by the purchaser as a car accessory rather than an investment. Cheap reg plates like P22 LDC will never appreciate much in value since there are probably similar marks left for sale from D.V.L.A. Remember, when the ‘P’ prefixes were released, not only were the numbers 1-20 available but also attractive numbers up to 999 became part of the Cheap reg plates market.

However, there are exceptions such as the ‘A’ prefixes – there were only the numbers 1-20 available, they were sold too cheaply and are very sought after, particularly the A1’s, similarly the H1’s.

With regard to N. Ireland cheap reg plates, name “look-alikes” such as FIL, BIL, HIL, JIL, BAZ, GAZ, DAZ etc. etc. were picked up very cheaply when they were first released and how are worth about 4 or 5 times more. So, an investment in the Cheap reg plates market can pay off but should be regarded more as a bit of fun.

Cheap Registration Plates

The cherished registration market is a bit like the antiques market in that it includes genuine “antiques” and “reproduction”. So, to develop this analogy, there are marks with a history behind them such as JE 1567 on a 1934 Austin in Lichfield or JP 5911 on a 1946 Ford Prefect. These can be regarded as antiques but obviously, are not cheap registration plates.

Then there are the cheap registration plates containing a prefix year letter followed by one, two or three numbers and three letters of which there is a wide range available. Like the “reproduction” market, these cheap registration plates will not increase in value but should be bought for enjoyment and regarded more as a car accessory. The definition of cheap registration plates varies but, for most people, probably indicates a mark under lb500.

For this level of expenditure, you can expect to fund your personal initials, business initials, football team etc. etc. Another source of cheap plates is Irish Number Plates.

Pet number plates are probably the most visited part of our number plates search section. We cover all types of pets: dog, cat, bird, lizard, reptile, pig, even a gerbil. If you happen to have a gerbil, you can click down to the results, which currently have 3 showing. However, if you own a dog, you can click down to find breeds of dog, some very obscure such as a Kleekai. There are about 200 breeds that you can scroll down to find your dog such as Corgi, Griffon, etc, etc.

Cheap Reg

You can transfer a number onto any vehicle that comes under MOT and road tax rules, such as a car, van, lorry or motorbike but not tractors, cranes etc. Cheap reg are often used to disguise the year of a vehicle.

For example a Northern Ireland number with three letters and 4 numbers or an old registration that has a year indentifying letter that couldn’t possibly be the age of the vehicle because of the model. These are classed as cheap reg. There is loads more information in Cheap Number Plates and Irish Number Plates.

New to Nationla Numbers are the new KISS and MISS number plates, which can be viewed on our new number plates search which includes approximately 10,000 of the “Kiss” and “Miss” plates. The basic price of the Miss plates start at lb999 and the Kiss plates at lb1299. But don’t just stop there; there are many other sections you can search. For example, our number plates section shows your initials such as A, AA, AAA. However, it’s a lot more powerful than this; you can either source dateless number plates (i.e. without a year letter), new style number plates or number plates with a prefix at the front such as A1 ABC.

Cheap Number Plates UK

With the introduction of the “make your own plate” range of Select Marks, the cherished registration market became more accessible to all drivers. Cheap Number Plates UK, consisting of a year letter prefix, 1, 2 or 3 numbers followed by three letters became very popular as it was cheap to obtain your initials. Hitherto, the cheap plates market had relied upon the Northern Ireland marks.

These marks, consisting usually of three letters followed by four numbers, were readily available and excellent for covering up the year letter from your neighbours. However, unless you were called Phil (FIL) or Jill (JIL), they had very little personal relevance.

In England, Scotland and Wales, the Cheap Number Plates UK market had relied upon the dwindling supply of suffix plates. Of course, different people have differing ideas of “cheap”, but generally Cheap Number Plates can be defined as costing under about lb500.

Have you found what you are looking for? Do you need a bit of help? Then please look at our other Number Plate Search options. Over our 25 years in business we must have dealt with over 1 million customers. Cheap Registrations

Posted in Cheap Number Plates — Written by Helen

The cherished plate market began, initially because the registration mark on their vehicle was of sentimental value and, therefore, the term “cherished” was coined. The Cheap registrations available today can hardly be known as “cherished” but they can be good fun.

The staggered release of prefix plates has made a vast choice in Cheap registrations open to everyone. Where, previously, the market was quite elitist, nowadays to have your initials on your vehicle is well within most driver’s budget. You needn’t stop at your initials either, what about combining your family initials or the initials of your football team or business – all of these examples are available in the Cheap registrations market. You can’t really expect most Cheap registrations to increase in value. The exceptions to this include the ‘A’ prefix marks, especially A1’s and A11’s; the ‘H’ prefix marks, especially H1’s. In both these ranges, D.V.L.A. were only “learning” and released them too cheaply. If you see any of these marks advertised for sale now, you certainly wouldn’t describe them as Cheap registrations.

Please look at our number plates search where you can search for your initials, names, words, birthdays. Absolutely everything, in fact. You can even design your own plate from this search, either the prefix type or the new style plates. If you are interested in number plates, why not design your own plate? You can search for anything you like including dateless plates (ie. no year letter) on this particular link. We can even do things like the new K155 or M155 number plates. In other words, virtually anything can be obtained from this search.
